Milestone Progress Reports

EQUITY & EXCELLENCE FOR ALL

The data dashboard below shows the most recent county-wide Progress Report for the Partnership’s six Cradle to Career Milestone indicators. The Partnership has set a dual goal of increasing equity and achieving educational excellence for all students. Progress is therefore measured in two ways – by meeting a common universal goal for all student populations (note the 80% arrow on the right side of the report) and reducing the opportunity gap between student populations (note the orange boxes at the top of each column).

To accomplish this, Partnership Initiatives use disaggregated data to develop targeted strategies that address factors unique to different student populations, especially those historically impacted by bias and racism.

As a Partnership, we promise that by 2028 we will have turned the curve toward equity from cradle to career. Only by working together, can we accelerate success for those students most impacted by historical biases and structural racism and improve outcomes for all students thereby ensuring that every child in Marin reaches their full educational potential regardless of race, ethnicity, zip code or financial circumstance.

Progress Reports show data in two ways:

  1. Racial Opportunity Gaps between all students, white students, and students of color (American Indian or Native Alaskan, Asian, Black or African American, Hispanic/Latino, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and Two or More Races).
  2. Income Opportunity Gaps between all students, students living in poverty (i.e. low income) and students not living in poverty (i.e. higher income)

Progress Reports also show data by school district (see drop down menu) and the data can be viewed in both English and Spanish using the menu at the top of the dashboard.

The small percentage numbers with a +/- in front indicate the change in the metric since the base year. The base year is noted in the last “Data Sources” row.
