”Thanks everyone, for an uplifting meeting. In all the stress and anxiety on a variety of fronts, it is the relationships that we share that are truly the bright spot.”
Anna PillotonDirector of School and Community Partnerships, College of Marin
“The Action Team is a huge support as all of the high school’s in the county and the College Access agencies have a place and time to meet, share ideas, and develop common strategies. The facilitator is invaluable!”

"Our Community Center has a very active Equity Committee that is connected to a Lagunitas School Equity Committee and a San Geronimo Valley Equity Committee. Much of this had its roots in our involvement with Marin Promise Partnership."
Dave CourtCEO, San Geronimo Valley Community Center
"Just wanted to share that I am so moved by your progress reports. This is the first time I have seen data explained with such a critical lens and welcoming visualization. Very inspired to explore ways to set up our “community” data in this way."
Cristina PatricioCA Cradle to Career Coalition, State Policy Director
"An investment in Marin Promise Partnership allows for you to ”double down” and supports higher levels of accountability for your other education investments in Marin."
Gary Syman, Ann WilsonDonors
“The expectation that collaboration can occur without a supporting infrastructure, is one of the most frequent reasons why it fails. The backbone organization's ... staff provide ... ongoing facilitation, communications, data collection and analysis, and ... administrative coordination.”
John Kania and Mark KramerStanford Social Innovation Review 2001
“I believe that Marin Promise is the answer we have been waiting for - using a proven, successful model of collaboration and data-driven decision-making to make real system-wide change. We need to rethink ‘business as usual’ because it isn’t working.”
Shelley BrownMilagro Foundation
"Marin Promise Partnership assembles leadership tables for collaboration and action that bring together groups who typically have not been invited to the table."
Omar CarreraCEO, Canal Alliance
"If equity lives everywhere, but does not have explicit champions to steward tangible action, it really lives nowhere."
San Geronimo Valley Community CenterValley Equity Group
"I’m a local student working on an equity related data project. You all at Marin Promise Partnership have a lot of insight into what educational metrics are meaningful/useful and I would love to get your advice. I know what I'd like to end up with, but getting some expert advice would really help me."
Coleman LewisHigh School Senior
"Maria Niggle, the team facilitator, was instrumental in getting the right people in the room. She connected our program staff with the District’s family advocates and finally got the ball rolling!"
Eduardo A. CaballeroCamp Edmo
"There are strong forces of positive change in place. Like Marin Promise Partnership, exceptional coalitions of promotores, parents, teachers, administrators, residents and volunteers are hard at work, right here, right now.”
Tom PetersCEO, Marin Community Foundation
"Having been part of an action team for the last 2 years, I agree they would be the perfect lead for this work. There is so much great work happening across the county, and this is a good opportunity to bring that work together!"
Gloria EstavilloDirector, University Prep (UP!), Canal Alliance
"It's so much easier to do the work when the entire community is committed! It has been a pleasure working working together in the Partnership."
Mayra PerezDeputy Superintendent, San Rafael City Schools
"Often organizations work in silos and assume that programs complement one another. Marin Promise Partnership's Action Teams assure that they do."
