Even before the pandemic, cities across the US and the world were successfully taking control of their digital futures. Together we can build community-wide access to the high-speed, low-cost broadband internet our student’s families and communities need to thrive in the twenty-first century.
The disruption COVID-19 presented—and the adaptations we innovated to retain some level of normalcy during the pandemic—also highlighted and exacerbated the already evident digital divide in our communities. School may be going back to in-person learning, but homework, group projects, support services, and so much more will remain out of reach for too many student who still do not have reliable access to high speed internet connectivity.
Join us on May 21st for a virtual forum to discuss opportunities to bridge the digital divide in Marin County.
